Creating Your Account

Getting started with RIVET takes less than a minute. Create your account using your email address or sign in with Google for even faster access.

RIVET offers two ways to create your account:

Create a traditional account with your email address and a secure password

Sign in with Google

Use your Google account for one-click sign up and login

Recommended

Using Google sign-in is faster and more secure. You won't need to remember another password, and you get the security benefits of your Google account.

Go to Sign Up

Visit rivet.slpwlk.io/signup or click "Get Started" from the RIVET homepage.

Choose Your Sign-Up Method

Option A: Sign Up with Google

1.Click the "Continue with Google" button
2.Select your Google account from the popup
3.Grant RIVET permission to access your basic profile information
4.You're signed in and ready to go

Option B: Sign Up with Email

1.Enter your email address
2.Create a strong password (minimum 8 characters)
3.Click "Sign Up"
4.Check your email for a verification link
5.Click the link to verify your email address
6.You're now signed in

Password Requirements

Your password must be at least 8 characters long. We recommend using a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols for better security.

Once your account is created, you'll be guided through the initial setup process:

Firm Setup

You'll be prompted to create or join a firm (your company in RIVET)

Dashboard

After setup, you'll land on your dashboard where you can start creating projects

Next Step

After creating your account, you'll need to set up your firm before you can start working with projects.

Joining an Existing Firm

If someone from your company has already set up RIVET, you may receive an invitation to join their firm. Here's how it works:

You'll receive an email invitation from RIVET

Click the "Accept Invitation" link in the email

If you don't have an account, you'll be prompted to create one

If you already have an account, sign in

You'll be added to the firm with the role assigned by your administrator

Invitation Expiration

Invitation links expire after 7 days. If your link has expired, ask your firm administrator to send a new invitation.

Multiple Accounts and Firms

Each RIVET account can belong to one firm. If you work with multiple companies that use RIVET, you have two options:

Separate Accounts

Create separate RIVET accounts using different email addresses for each company

Ask to be Added

Have the firm administrator add your existing account to their firm (you'll leave your current firm)

Note

In the future, RIVET will support belonging to multiple firms with a single account. For now, each account is tied to one firm.

Account Security

RIVET takes your account security seriously:

We use industry-standard OAuth 2.0 and secure password hashing

Sessions expire after inactivity to protect your account

Keeping Your Account Secure

✓Use a strong, unique password if not using Google sign-in
✓Don't share your login credentials with others
✓Sign out when using shared computers
✓Report any suspicious activity to support immediately

Troubleshooting

Didn't receive the verification email?

1.Check your spam or junk folder
2.Make sure you entered the correct email address
3.Wait a few minutes — sometimes emails are delayed
4.Click "Resend verification email" on the login page

Can't sign in?

1.Double-check your email address
2.Try the "Forgot password" link to reset your password
3.If using Google, make sure you're selecting the correct Google account
4.Clear your browser cache and try again
