Solution: Re-scan at higher quality or try a different format
Low Confidence Score
Data was extracted but reliability is uncertain.
Causes: Blurry scan, poor lighting, unusual fonts
Solution: Manually verify and correct extracted data
Classification Uncertain
System isn't sure what type of document this is.
Causes: Non-standard format, combined documents
Solution: Manually set the document type
File Too Large
Document exceeds size limits.
Causes: Very high resolution or many pages
Solution: Compress the PDF or split into smaller files
Retrying Failed Documents
- Go to Exceptions and find the failed document
- Review the error message for specific cause
- If the original file is the issue, delete and re-upload a better version
- If it's a temporary error, click Retry Processing
- Monitor the status until processing completes
Better Source = Better Results
Manual Data Entry Fallback
If OCR consistently fails for a document, you can enter data manually:
- Open the document in RIVET
- Click Enter Manually
- Fill in the required fields (vendor, amount, date, etc.)
- Save to complete processing
